Regisseur Jérôme Vandewattyne schickt das charmant-verpeilte Duo im pinken Chevy auf LSD-schwangere Spurensuche von Brüssel bis in den ecuadorianischen Dschungel, gespickt mit abgedrehten Charakteren, Found Footage, absurder Komik und getragen von einem feinen Electro-Soundtrack. Vandewattyne, Jérôme made his first gory films when he was in Catholic school. His fake horror trailer She’s a Slut for the Brussels International Fantastic Film festival led to the short Slutterball. Jérôme has directed for television and made two entire seasons of the web series What the Fake?!. His first feature was the self-produced music mockumentary Spit’n’Split (SLASH 2017). The Belgian Wave is his second cinematic outing.
