Hundreds of Beavers
A more marvelously devised action finale than the one offered by this crown jewel of absurdity will be hard to find in cinemas this year. After his company explodes, an applejack dealer finds himself stranded in the snow-covered wild. In his battle against the local fauna, he must graduate from teeth-chattering tenderfoot to cunning trapper in record time—to stand his ground against an army of beavers. Mike Cheslik puts this completely off-the-rails, awe-inspiring, side-splitting silent-film sketch anthology somewhere between Looney Tunes and Adult Swim. Masterful! (me)
