Lured deeper and deeper into the wasteland by a (seemingly) injured boy as darkness falls, he eventually encounters a woman in a hut surrounded by a canyon. The ladder the exhausted man climbed down to her is gone the next day. What happens next in Barnaby Clay’s excellent horror thriller must stay a secret here. Clay, Barnaby is a British filmmaker who is best known for his music video work and music documentaries. Born in 1973, the graduate from the London International Film School has directed videos for the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Dave Gahan, among many others. He is also a Méliès d’Argent winner for his fantasy horror short Finkle’s Odyssey. The Seeding, his feature-length atmospheric horror thriller, was first presented at the Tribeca Film Festival 2023.
