Soda Jerk are Dominique and Dan Angeloro, an artist duo who deal with the politics of images and make sample-based films with a rogue documentary impulse. Formed in Sydney in 2002, the siblings have been based in New York since 2012. Prior to Hello Dankness, which had its international premiere at the 2023 Berlinale, their best-known work was probably the controversially satirical Terror Nullius, which was both disowned by its commissioning body as “un-Australian” and named one of the best Australian movies of the decade by The Guardian.
