When Canadian indie-wunderkind Larry Fessenden shoots a werewolf flick, you can bet your last silver bullet that you’ll be served weird new perspectives on dry-aged genre tropes. Here’s one, for instance: Lycanthrope Charley knows exactly that come nightfall he’ll be on the prowl in his little town. So he wonders if he shouldn’t use his monstrous second nature for good—against the reactionary, racist real-estate magnate Hammond, who of course believes a migrant worker to be behind the murders.
